Miranda Hubbs

Corporate Director

Ms. Hubbs is a corporate director and former investment industry executive. Ms. Hubbs imparts corporate governance expertise to the CIRO Board. 

She currently serves on the boards of Nutrien, Imperial Oil, PSP investments and is Board Chair of the Canadian Red Cross. She has previously served on the boards of Spectra Energy and Agrium.   

Prior to her retirement in 2011, Ms. Hubbs was Executive Vice President and Managing Director of McLean Budden, one of Canada's leading institutional asset managers. During her career, she received recognition from Brendan Wood International TopGun Awards as one of the Top 50 Portfolio Managers in Canada and as one of the TopGun Investment Minds in Oil and Gas in Canada. 

She is a member of the ICD Climate Strategy Advisory Board and the Global Risk Institute Sustainable Finance Advisory Committee. She is a CFA charter holder, a SASB FSA credential holder, and has earned the CERT certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight from the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. 

Ms. Hubbs holds a Bachelor of Science (Biology) from Western University and a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University. She is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, holding the ICD.D designation.
