As Chief Financial Officer, Laura McNeil is responsible for managing CIRO’s finances, including financial operations and planning, management of financial risks and cost recovery as a not-for-profit. She also issues reports to stakeholders, the Board of Directors, and other members of the Executive Leadership Team.

In 2018, Laura joined IIROC, CIRO’s predecessor organization, as Director, Finance Operations. She was promoted to Vice-President, Finance in 2020, and appointed as Chief Financial Officer in 2021.

Before joining IIROC in 2018, Laura worked in Finance for Fortune 100/Fortune 500 broadly based healthcare companies, with progressive roles in financial planning and analysis, finance shared services and financial management. She also led an organizational change management team supporting a Canada-wide SAP deployment across five operating companies in three business sectors, six locations and more than a thousand users.

Laura holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
