CIRO to Hold a Disciplinary Hearing for John David Lunam

Vancouver (British Columbia), May 15, 2024 –A hearing has been scheduled before a hearing panel of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) pursuant to the Investment Dealer and Partially Consolidated Rules in the matter of John David Lunam.
The hearing is open to the public unless the hearing panel orders otherwise. The decision of the hearing panel will be made available at www.ciro.ca.
Hearing Date: June 19, 2024 at 10:00 am (Pacific Time)
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia (by videoconference)

The hearing concerns allegations that John David Lunam:
- facilitated off-book investments, without the knowledge or consent of his firm,
- failed to fulfill his gatekeeper responsibilities as he did not inform his firm that the beneficial owner of a corporate client account had been charged with securities law violations, and
- used his personal email address for securities-related activities.

At all material times,John David Lunam conducted business in the Vancouver, British Columbia area and was as a Registered Representative with Assante Capital Management Ltd. until approximately June 2022. He is not currently employed by a CIRO-regulated firm in any capacity.
