MFDA set dates for Hearing on the Merits in the matter of Kindle Blythe and Mohammad Movassaghi

May 29, 2019 (Toronto, Ontario) – The Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (“MFDA”) commenced a disciplinary proceeding in respect of Kindle Briten Megan Blythe (“Blythe”) and Mohammad Movassaghi (“Movassaghi”) (or together referred to as the “Respondents”) by Notice of Hearing dated March 21, 2019.

As specified in the Notice of Hearing, the first appearance in this proceeding took place yesterday by teleconference before a Hearing Panel of the MFDA’s Pacific Regional Council.

Following submissions by the parties, the hearing of this matter on its merits has been set for December 18-20, 2019 and January 9-10, 2020, commencing at 10:00 a.m. (Pacific) each day, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, in the hearing room at the British Columbia Securities Commission, 701 West Georgia Street, Suite 1200, Vancouver, British Columbia. The Hearing Panel also scheduled a pre-hearing motion to take place on September 4, 2019, commencing at 9:30 a.m. (Pacific), or as soon thereafter as the motion can be held, in the hearing room at the British Columbia Securities Commission, 701 West Georgia Street, Suite 1200, Vancouver, British Columbia. The motion will be open to the public, except as may be required for the protection of confidential matters.
